Model Studies (Direct observation): 150 Points (varies every semester). 25 points per day (Six days total).
If you have to be gone while the model is in class, make up the 25 points by spending at least 3 hours on a small portrait. The make-up portrait can be from 8"x11" or bigger. It is an honor system to spend at least 3 hours on the make up portrait. It can even be an animal portrait.
Class time is spent on gesture, mapping out the figure, learning to mix flesh color and blocking in large shapes.
I will also introduce and demonstrate different styles and mediums such as acrylic and watercolor.
Close up studies include: Eye, nose, mouth, texture
